How to fade dark dark brown hair color to light brown?

Okay, so yesterday, I bought a medium brown dye from my Walgreens. Put it in my hair, it turned out pitch black. I used color oops and now its a dark dark brown. I really want my natural color back, which is a light brown. Is there any way to fade the hair over the next week without a trip to a salon, without making my hair orange or red? Thanks=)

Just put lemon juice and sit in the sun.
It sucks all the dye out of your hair.
i used this one dye from loreal i had jet black hair it was lik ultra light natural brown and it turned out very well good luck

As long as the hair dye you use doesn’t contain bleach, then your hair will not turn orange. Just go back to walgreens and buy the lightest shade of brown that they have.
This should significantly lighten it.
If not, then vigorously washing your hair with harsh shampoo several times a day will do the trick.
It sounds like you might just have to wait it out!
